Welcome To A New Era of Bermuda Coffee
It’s time to say goodbye… but not in the way you’re thinking!
We’re Ben and Liza, the owners of Bermuda Coffee Roasters. We first began roasting coffee back in 2020, on the cusp of the global pandemic. We started as a hobby in a friends garage, fell in love with the process and that hobby soon turned into a full time business for us. We moved to a small storage unit where we got our first 2kg small batch roaster, then we moved to a shared warehouse space in Pakenham with a 7kg roaster and finally… we found the future home for our business in Berwick, where we now operate multiple roasters!
Over the past 5 years, we have been focused on expanding our knowledge and skills in the specialty coffee field and bringing the best coffee we could to our loyal customer base here in Melbourne. We have learnt a tonne, but also made a lot of mistakes along the way!
Over the years, we have added to our team and now have an awesome crew that are just as passionate as we are about our product and our customers. Bermuda Coffee beans are brewed and served in dozens of cafes and thousands of homes, which we are so grateful for!
A focus of ours for the past year has been planning the future of our business, with a huge part of that being focused on finding our own ‘home’ for Bermuda and deep diving into the ‘why’ of our business.
The specialty coffee industry is amazing, challenging and extensive. There are so many opportunities for growth, change and re-direction… but we struggled knowing which was the right direction for us. With something like 1000 coffee roasters in Australia and 2400 cafes in Melbourne alone, where do we see ourselves fitting? What value can we bring to the industry? What do our customers really want? How do we make a difference beyond a simple transaction?
We took a deep dive and came out with a clearer direction on the future of Bermuda Coffee and our goals for the years ahead:
ONE: Build a brand and a space focused on connection, in a world where disconnection and isolation are becoming the norm
TWO: Create a brand which would inspire our customers to explore, engage and ultimately, get lost in coffee with us
THREE: To continue creating a community where everyone is welcomed and encouraged, regardless of where they are in their coffee journey

…led us to the decision to re-brand our business and re-direct the future of Bermuda Coffee.
So, we are excited to introduce you to Bermuda Coffee Studio, an updated name, brand and vision, but the same team and the same product you love!
A passionate and creative brand with an emphasis on building connection and relationship through our shared love for coffee.
Our very first coffee studio will be opening in Berwick mid-year and we can’t wait to welcome you into that space for coffee, retail shopping, tastings, special events and so much more. In the meantime, if you order beans from us or one of our café partners, they will now look different on the outside! The inside hasn’t changed and the heart of who we are is still the same; specialty coffee beans, ethically sourced and locally roasted in small batches.
We want to say a huge thankyou to all our amazing customers who have been with us on the journey these past 5 years. We have a loyal customer base with over 50% of our customers on subscriptions, choosing to support us regularly and have their coffee delivered straight to their door. We even have some customers who have ordered over 100 times from our small business since we started in 2020 and that is beyond anything we could’ve ever imagined when we first started!
